I made a deposit in my investment account. Why hasn’t that cash been invested yet?

Motley Fool Wealth Management performs a regular check on all our accounts for excess cash. All deposits over $500 qualify to be invested or “swept.” If your cash lands in between these review times, your cash may sit idle for a short time—usually no longer than five business days.

Keep in mind that each of our strategies does contain a cash allocation that the portfolio managers choose, and they can utilize that cash when they believe an attractive opportunity presents itself.
