Can I restrict specific stocks from trading in my account with Motley Fool Wealth Management?

Yes, you can restrict trading specific securities that you do not wish to own or trade. Please submit your request in writing by emailing support@foolwealth.com. Keep in mind that you will need to proactively request reinvestment in order to begin trading those stocks again.

Please be aware that if you block a security that is included in a strategy recommended to you, the funds allocated to that security will remain in cash—which can affect your investing outcomes. If you place a new restriction on a stock currently held in your account, we will neither buy more of it nor sell it, even if the Portfolio Managers sell it from the strategy.

We strongly discourage Fool Wealth clients from transferring restricted securities into their account(s). Our asset-based fee will continue to accrue and be payable with respect to securities you restrict in your portfolio. If a significant portion of your account is restricted, we may cease managing it until you remove the restrictions on those securities.
