Are there fees for adding or withdrawing funds from my portfolio?

One of the many benefits of investing with Motley Fool Wealth Management is that we do not charge fees when you add money to your account. Please check with your originating bank or brokerage to see if they charge any transfer or other fees.

When it comes to withdrawals, here are some considerations:

  1. While Motley Fool Wealth Management does not charge a fee for withdrawals, your custodian (Interactive Brokers or Charles Schwab) may charge a processing fee based on the type and frequency of withdrawals. More information is available on the Custodian FAQ page.
  2. If positions need to be sold, typical trading fees would be applied, along with taxable gains or losses generated inside non-retirement accounts.
